A nationally-known pizza brand opened a new location in Tullytown Borough’s Levittown section.
Little Caesars Pizza cut the ribbon last Friday morning on their newest location, which sits in the Levittown Town Center shopping center.
The eatery is the first from the chain in Levittown since the location along New Falls Road in Bristol Township’s Levittown section closed more than a year ago.
Little Caesars Pizza, known for their slogan “Pizza! Pizza!,” operates a location in the Bristol Commerce Park shopping center.
The Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce hosted the ribbon cutting and officials from Tullytown Borough, including the police and fire departments, attended the festivities.
The Little Caesars Pizza location began serving up pizzas last month as part of a soft opening ahead of the ribbon cutting.
The new Little Caesars Pizza will have plenty of competition with a number of local and national shops within a few minutes drive.
The store opening comes as the chain introduces Pretzel Crust Pizza back to the menu. The popular limited-time item featured a soft pretzel crust pizza with creamy cheddar cheese sauce, mozzarella and Muenster cheeses and pepperoni.
Detroit-based Little Caesars Pizza has more than 5,400 locations around the world.
Mike and Marian Ilitch opened the first Little Caesars Pizza restaurant in the Detroit suburbs in 1959 as a family-run establishment. It expanded over the years and began franchising in the 1960s.
In terms of global pizza chains, Little Caesars Pizza is now ranked third.
